Civilian Contractor.

Look at Dave's face

Now, you tell me what he's really thinking...because, civilian contractor?... not so much.

And then there's Ronon's reaction.

Between you and me, I'd like to see that scene where Ronon takes Dave out to a bar, gets him good and drunk and then sets him straight on a few things Satedan style.

Naw, that was just Mallozzi. The guy doesn't like heroes yet they hired him to write for a show (SG1) that was all about heroes. Then they let him be show runner for SGA, another show all about heroes. Makes no sense at all. You don't hire a plumber to lay brick. But it does explain why Koyla was such a lovely villain.

Kolya for one, yeah. And Larrin, too. Though too many people called her a female version of John which is wrong, wrong, wrong, how many times can I tell those idiots wrong!!! [Oops, Rodney voice escaped.] Because Larrin had no qualms about sacrificing her people. Oh, radiation problems. No big deal. Fewer mouths to feed.

And Larrin liked to shove people out airlocks when they annoyed her. Yeah, so not John.

But the Genii, overall, were wonderfully complex. Sora and Ladon Radim had layers. Even Todd had layers.

If only they could have written the heroes with that kind of depth and complexity... Shame, isn't it.
