This episode presented the first alternate universe in Atlantis canon; though it ended tragically for this version of the expedition, the writers returned to this theme many times over the course of the series. Personally, it's one of my favorite themes in fan fiction. I love all the "what ifs" out there.

Out of power and out of time.




Weir: Can you fly those ships?

Sheppard: I can fly just about anything.

Brave, brave Rodney!

Sometimes, I think Rodney's the one most surprised by his courage. Other times, I think no one is surprised. :)

This episode makes me sad, because everyone dies :( But we get Brave Little Toaster Rodney, which is always nice.

Very brave Rodney. And this Rodney was still SG1 Rodney and hadn't yet been changed at all by Pegasus or the people of the expedition. (Unless you count that hot, wicked weekend he spent with John Sheppard in New Zealand but that's literally another story...) *wink*

I love that. Hide and Seek, Before I Sleep, both show there's more to Rodney McKay than meets the eye. (I love that fic!)
