Now that the grounding station is fixed, McKay tries to explain to Kolya that the only safe place in the city is Stargate Operations.


Kolya has to think about it.


Once there, it's stall, stall, stall.


Where's Teyla and Carson?


Intercepted by Sora, looking for revenge.


Not the typical chick fight, thank goodness.


McKay stands up to Kolya, proving he has brass ones after all. "In case you hadn't noticed, I'm an extremely arrogant man who always thinks he's right!"


But McKay's "failure" is Kolya's failure and so McKay pays for it.


"This is why we evacuated the city! Leave before you die with us!"


It's over. Come with me and live or stay here and die.


The Genii decide to leave -- and take Weir and McKay with them.


Sheppard waits.


"You don't want to risk killing Dr. Weir."


"I'm not aiming at her."


"Are you all right?" "No."


"We have to do this now!"


Give Teyla and Carson time! (Love the look on Weir's face.)


They make it -- with Sora's help.


Now!


It worked!


McKay, it worked!


Of course, it worked.


But what happens to Sora? (What did happen to Sora?)


And in the end...

McKay once won a drama award, you know... Ooops, wrong episode.


Weir did damn well for a foothold situation.


And Sheppard, not surprisingly, looks nothing like the guy who just went medieval all over the Genii. Gotta wonder about him sometimes...

I love the pictures you took :) Such pretty quality :D I really like the shot of Atlantis' shield going up.

But what happens to Sora? (What did happen to Sora?)

I read somewhere that they essentially trade Sora for the nukes at the end of season one - it's in a deleted scene, or something?

And Sheppard, not surprisingly, looks nothing like the guy who just went medieval all over the Genii. Gotta wonder about him sometimes...

You really do gotta wonder about him XD I wish we had gotten to see this level of badass from John all the time, because damn. It was hot. And awesome.

I finally found a setting in Photoshop that worked for most of the caps and then applied it (with some minor adjustments) to all of them. The caps for this episode were so dark and so red that it took some doing. (Each episode is different depending on the script, the director, and the lighting.)

I thought they said something about Sora in "The Brotherhood." I'll have to check.

As for John, a little bit of badass goes a long way but you still gotta wonder about him. *grin*

they asked Kolya if he wanted Sora back - but she wasn't actually traded back to them until Atlantis needed the Genii nukes in pt 2 of "The Siege."

IDK if we could've handled that level of badass from John all the time. ;) Plus, it just makes him that more interesting as a character that he can both be such a complete badass and kinda a goofball.

And I'm pretty sure that was exactly what happened in that deleted scene.

That's my absolute favorite line in this episode because - the sheer *confidence* in his own abilities that rings in this quote, I find that incredibly hot.
