This is a wonderful point and so easy to forget with everything else that's going on. (like hot, grrrr Sheppard on the warpath)

This is a very busy episode, just like "The Storm." I may take two weeks with it too.

But yes, they're well aware of Sheppard's abilities. Nothing he did surprised them at all. Except maybe cutting the power.

He could hack John's file but as deputy leader of the expedition, he'd have access in any case. (That was established in "The Long Goodbye." Pretty sure they didn't leave Earth without a firm chain of command.)

AH, yes. I remember the relevant scene in "The Long Goodbye". I know Teyla takes charge when Elizabeth (and Rodney) is not in Atlantis. But I wonder whose in charge when Elizabeth goes on missions with the team?
