I always wonder whose brain they got General Hammond out of. It's entirely possible John has never met the man. Ford might know him in passing if he was previously at the SGC, but he wouldn't have had much interaction with him. Elizabeth has experience with the SGC prior to Atlantis, but she took over from Hammond and then later left for Atlantis, so it's not like she knew him well either.

Honestly, the only person who canonically did have a lot of interaction with Hammond is Rodney, and they didn't seem to care for each other very much (understatement).

Good points all! And why didn't any of them notice or care that Hammond was there instead of O'Neill? Very odd indeed and the first clue something was off about the whole thing.

Oh man. Teyla's style in this episode. Wow.

I was surprised by what a mess Rodney's place was when I rewatched this. The first time, I totally zoned out until John pulled out his gun, so I didn't notice.

Ford's pretty touching in this one. Sometimes I wonder about how the show would've been had he stayed on. It kind of sucks because you either have Ford or Ronon and I wouldn't want to lose Ronon, so.
