Biro
Griffin
Chuck
Parrish
and a others, some who's name we never knew. for example. These guys-

I have much Squeeeee for minor character love! I think I may have jumped up from my chair yelled in delight during Adrift when the City's reluctant and completely unqualified mix of civilians found themselves piloting puddlejumpers to save her. It still brings a goofy smile to my face.

Date: 2010-08-19 11:15 am (UTC)Yes! Exactly this!
Maybe this is one of the reasons I love outsider POV stories so much. It's a little glimpse of what's going on in Atlantis that we never got to see onscreen.
*incoherent flaily gleeeee*

Geeky, nervous, unsure and untrained for this and they were brilliant!

In looking through some of the screen caps the other day I noticed there several 'soldiers' who appeared in a lot of different episodes - I never noticed them on the episodes themselves, but there was some continuity of personnel, which was pretty cool!
Poor Griffin, though. And his tomatoes! Bless him.
I'd have loved to see an episode from, say, the mess hall chef's point of view,or someone like that. :o)

From McKay and Mrs. Miller
SHEPPARD: Well, Teyla’s got the hots for one of the new marines.
(Teyla looks indignant and kicks his leg.)
SHEPPARD: Ow!
TEYLA: That is not true!

I was so curious for that to go somewhere!

Date: 2010-08-19 07:35 pm (UTC)Yes! I wish they had gone somewhere with that, too. I loved the ending to that, and John's "here he comes..." TEAM!
I miss the team. I think that's why the Daedalua (sp?) Variations is one of my favorite episodes. It's just the team, being...teamy. *g*
Other minor characters I wish had had more play time? Bates. Bates and Teyla. I kind of wanted to ship them, in that old-fashioned, Harlequin kind of "enemies at first sight, strand 'em on a desert island, then epiphany of true love" kind of trope-y way.
*is vaguely ashamed of self*

Date: 2010-08-20 02:24 am (UTC)"The one thing you wish you brought with you to another galaxy is bacon?"
"It's the food that makes all other food worth eating."
Even though these two were killed right after that :( or maybe especially because...they didn't have to be having an interesting conversation, you know? But the writers put it in there anyway.
