Dear Diary,

Just flew to a top secret research station with a general. Nearly got him killed when we were painted by a weird, spermy-looking missile. Nearly killed the general when he wouldn't stop side-seat flying.

Finally got to see the inside of the station -- a mile under the ice! -- found the guy who fired that missile and gave him a very stern talking to. Sat down in a recliner from hell and made it work with my mind. (The guy in the orange fleece needs a chill pill. So does the guy with the glasses.)

Now the general and some diplomat lady want me to go to a whole 'nother galaxy, far, far away.

Nope, not freaking out. At all.

This was brilliant. I love it, and captures John spot on.

I have to comment, if it wasn't for John, I'd think it was a set of Star Trek. The three people in the primary colored shirts and dark pants could be right off that show. The fourth guy, in the two colored outfit could be from The Next Generation.

Sorry, couldn't resist. With all the Captain Kirk and other ST references, I wonder if it was deliberate?

Thanks! I thought the same thing about the Star Trek motif. Considering the ST references throughout the series, I'd say it was deliberate. The writers never bothered to hide their inner geeks. :)
