Let's talk puddlejumpers. I confess, I geek out over those darn ziti shaped spaceships, and oh - the things they can do. Not to mention how they light up for John.

Atlantis would not have been the same without them. *shudders at the thought*

I don't know what those read-outs say but it makes my little heart happy just to see it :)

So much love for the Gate Ships!!!! *g*

I think mine solidified during 38 Minutes. Mmmmmyes!

Hmmmm...I think I see a vague whale outline in the middle of that grid, which can only mean one thing.

John and Rodney on their whale-watching date in Echoes!?!?

Oh, the h/c!! ♥

That's an awesome screencap to use here! Because you're right; the jumpers were *magic* when they lit up like that. :-)

I don't think we've explored the jumpers nearly enough. They had to have been decked out like the mini-RV's they resemble. Come on, where's the head? And the pop-out screened porch? :-)

What I like best about them is the subtle sense of 'team' they gave to each mission with the seating of the crew in such a fashion that they could hold a conversation while traveling to their destination. (I know the cast wasn't too keen on jumper scenes, but I loved them!)

I think too, Atlantis *had* to have had more maneuverable fighters in order to combat Wraith attacks and we just haven't found them yet. *runs off to look*

That would make an awesome series, wouldn't it? "Scenes from a PuddleJumper" :-)

The puddlejumper HUD...I loved this. It's why I adore my season 1 DVD box because each DVD opens up with an HUD from a puddlejumper. Fair makes me turn to goo!!!

I was hooked from the moment in Rising that those two adorable geeks uttered the words 'spaceships', then Sheppard going on-board, still in awe of what was happening to him as Atlantis reacted to him, then that scene where he uncloaks the jumper and tells Weir that's what she brought him for...(I could think of some other reasons...;D!), then the entire scene of landing at the Wraith ship, then escaping back to it...and then...that wonderful fight scene where Sheppard made the jumper look like a fighter! And that was just the first episodes....

[livejournal.com profile] sgamadison was so right...we didn't get enough jumper action or Shep interaction with the jumpers but we did get that chase scene in the Return....that was awesome. Oh...and the turkey sandwich scene with Ford...I loved that.

Face it, we didn't get enough of anything in this show. It should have gone for another five years.

I miss them.................

::sighs with longing::

I'm putting off going to sleep, so I just watched a couple of McShep fanvids. In the second one, we see the 'jumper rising out of the water and soaring into the sky. With the drive pods extended (and despite the rectangular shape) it reminded me of a baby whale leaping out of the water with exuberance. So that's what they're going to be for me from now on: little whales.

And now I'm going back to missing MY OUR SHOW.
