Day 9: Funniest scene

What's that one scene that always makes you grin or laugh out loud?

My favorite? Echoes: John and Rodney in the infirmary, shouting at each other because of their hearing loss. (I can say that because I'm hearing impaired and, sometimes, that's how I feel I'm talking to the whole world!)

I love that scene too.

The other one that made me laugh till my sides hurt was in Duet, when Rodney gets into an argument with Cadman in the hallway after he/they leave Katie Brown's, and slaps himself, after which they each try to walk in different directions. Great homage to Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin in "All of Me."

Here I'm wracking my brain, because for many episodes there wasn't that much to laugh about. And then it hit me. ::thunks forehead:: I loved "Hide and Seek" when John tossed Rodney over the balcony. Seeing Rodney standing up (yes, in-vul-ner-able) and both of them grinning. And, then again, under Elizabeth's ("Tell me again WHY I signed up to lead this crew") disapproving glare, John's classic "I shot him ... in the leg" will never get old!

Even more remarkable was the fact that there were all these contradictory elements: John and Rodney acting like 12 (um, 8?) year-olds, the alien menace and, finally, Rodney in one of his wonderful moments of bravery.

Actually, mine is from Echoes too but it's actually with Weir, at the very end when Zelenka, Sheppard and Weir are doing the "recap" thing and Weir is looking so serious and invested and then yells "NO THANK YOU!" and you realize she had no clue what the hell they were talking about.

For all the times Hewlett and Flanigan get the funny dialogue, this is when I always laugh out loud - Torri's timing was comedy gold.
