A sequel would be great but the fact that the author left it so open-ended is, I think, part of the fascination I have for it. It could go in so many different directions. That it was written five years before Splice makes it deliciously creepy.

That's s true, it leaves us wondering, which is why it's so fascinating. Who are these people, why do they want the egg, what are they doing with it? All these questions!

I agree, open to interpretation is an apt description. I love science fiction for just that reason, so much left to the imagination. Clever little story.

I love hidden gems like this story. SGA is so rich with amazing fic that some stories get overlooked. This is one that really puts the sci-fi into SGA and leaves you wondering. :)

I had to read it a couple of times, too! It's very clever and once it hits you, it's really worth it. As much as I would like a sequel, I also like that the author left it so open-ended. The possibilities are endless! Amazing!
