Rodney totally wants to sit in John's lap in the control chair. Maybe riding him while asking John to do something - "Think about the Milky Way galaxy and light up all locations with Ancient outposts, Major" - and it's so difficult to concentrate with Rodney rolling his hips and making those noises.

God, Rodney looked amazing in that orange fleece. THOSE SHOULDERS.

I can't see O'Neill forcing John to go if he REALLY doesn't want to. I think he talked to John only because Elizabeth asked him to. if John had said no, Jack would have dropped it. I think, anyway lol.

I love that Elizabeth asks, "Who's doing that?" As lights turn on in the gateroom, with John RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER.

I really love how close Rodney sticks to John, following him up the stairs, pausing when John does...

*nod* Actually, that may have been part of the reason the volunteer line was used. So that we would know for certain that John had volunteered.

But, I can't help thinking it would make an interesting AU. Strangers go into Cheyanne Mountain and never come back out....

YES. The rest of us know it's John. Rodney knows it's John. He's seen how the Ancient artifacts respond to his gene. Even without slash goggles, I love love love how close he sticks to John until Elizabeth puts him to work. A very smart man our Rodney.

If we were doing a conspiracy challenge again, "strangers go into Cheyenne Mountain and never come out again" would make a great fic.

I would totally watch an entire episode of just John sitting in the chair flying atlantis.
With Rodney nearby watching.

Also, the muse is wondering...
We all know that ancient tech loves John. What if when he sat in the chair and it lit up, it also showed what he was thinking? Or tried to do some match making? Just saying...

Oh my god, this should be written. Just, a montage of Rodney bending over consoles. Or completely naked in bed, if they've already hooked up LOLL

I'm actually seriously considering whether this could be arted.... that scene with John in the chair and Rodney nearby .... with some lovely scenes of them together phitoshooped in to float above John's head...

Of course, the other idea was based on Rodney's line of 'think about where we are in the universe'
Which made me think it could be fun to put in a number of floating images of them in different universes... after all, AUs canonically exist in SGA:)

I make no promises, but if I can do anything at least halfway what I picture in my mind, I'll post it.

Also, throwing this out there for anyone else to write or art if they get the urge. The more the merrier ;)
