I love this post! Sometimes I think about how the expedition must seem to Teyla and Ronon: these people who come from a planet of relative safety, who decide to stay in the Pegasus Galaxy and fight against a yet another overwhelming enemy, when it would be so much easier for them to retreat through the Stargate. The things we take for granted, like our medical care (we can live without certain organs! We can safely *share* our organs with others!), the way so many of our civilians learn hand to hand combat just for fun, not survival...

It's posts like this that remind me how much I really enjoy outside POV pieces on the expedition.

Favorite outside POV on the expedition: Sometime it's frightening, how easily these people from Earth face down nightmares and conquer them. It's frightening, how they don't know how to be afraid, how they will rather fight than run, how they would rather betray all dignity and sacredness, and risk tearing their hearts and souls asunder, than give in and accept a painful inevitable. [x]
