Squee Weekend VI - Sept 26-27

My darlings, we are getting to meet up in SC for another gathering of fangirls and fangents.

The weekend date this year is Sept26-27. A few of us are planning a longer stay by a few days, so if you find you can come on a Thursday-Friday instead, or can stay until Tuesday...well, someone will be there. *g*

Here's some basic info about location and rooms Don't hesitate to ask questions. The link goes to last year's info and the dates are different, but everything else is the same.

I am so jealous of everyone that's going to be attending. Despite getting a new job with a $5+/hr raise I still cannot afford to go.

I sprained my ankle really badly at the beginning of June and have $1500+ in medical bills to pay. Not to mention helping my daughter buy the things she needs to go back to school.

BUT I plan on making it next year. Although it will only be for a few days because I only get forty hours of vacation time in the first year.

I understand completely how RL puts a crimp on a good time :)

Speaking of good time, I can't imagine that we won't be doing this again next year.

I have good days and bad days. And have yet to master walking down stairs again. I feel so lazy taking the elevator down one floor when I leave work.

Hey, it's not laziness, it's called healing! I tore my rotator cuff back in May and while it is slowly getting better, I've had to learn not to set myself back by doing too much too soon. :-)

It's mostly fine now. Took over a month though because the brace they gave me at the hospital made it worse so I was unable to wear it past the first day.
