It's such a fantastic episode, I love getting a glimpse of the various characters. And that ending makes me so emotional ♥ I actually JUST finished watching that ep, too.

Rodney is this mix of funny and sad in this episode. John made me sad when he said no to Elizabeth asking if there's anyone he wants to record a message to. He looks down and away. OH JOHN ♥
Oh John indeed! He can be so incredibly heartbreaking. ::hugs him:: And Rodney all bluster, taking forever to work around to what he really wanted to say because he couldn't just come out and say it. Oh, these boys!!
These are fabulous! You did an excellent job on the gifs. This is one of my favorite eps, mainly because I *like* the idea of them being cut off from Earth. Watching each individual get into that 'headspace' where they know they might not make it... gets me every time. It's different from when Elizabeth says in the beginning something like you're all aware this might be a one-way trip... But then actually facing a real foe and the very real likelihood of not seeing their loved ones again made this a great ep.

I love the idea of them being cut off from Earth too, and wish they would have stuck with that concept. For the 10 Years Later fest, I had this idea of Earth getting back in contact with Atlantis after 10 years, but I ran short on time.

I say our appreciation and dedication of "our show" should be a continuation of the fest and that you should develop and execute that idea... I love that concept of ten years after/later.
I did spend a lot of time planning what Atlantis would be like so long without contact...I'll have to pull out my notes and see if what I had in mind is feasible, but I would like to write it, even if it's not for the fest.
