Today, in honor of the SGA 10 Years Later Fest, I got an email from Kavan Smith! No, really...

Unfortunately, it wasn't THE Kavan Smith... But it did bring a big smile to my face on a day when I had to cram 8 hours of work into 4. And, actually, that's sort of a metaphor for the way SGA fandom has changed my life, my opinions, and my outlook on so many things since I read my first fanfic about a Dr. McKay and Major Sheppard some eight years ago. No matter what RL has thrown my way over the years, Atlantis, Team Sheppard, and Fandom have always a refuge - and some days, I find myself hanging on for dear life.

The email also got me thinking about Lorne and Parrish - how mere seconds together on film sparked an OTP, and how very lovingly that pairing was handled by clwilson2006. The SGAnniversary wouldn't be the same without remembering Claire and revisiting some of her wonderful works. You'll find them HERE at AO3.
