I was scrolling through my SGA stories and I was thinking about my favorite one. I've decided this is the one I love the most:
Golgotha , which is really a team fic about Lorne. It was inspired by the lovely Promises by
bluflamingo.
Why is this my favorite? I think because I succeeded in writing a story that captured all the characters well. It's not a slash fic, which was a bit of a surprise, but it is about courage, faith, and the healing power of friendship.
Lorne has to overcome the physical and emotional effects of captivity and torture, plus his own self-doubts. There's a lot of hurt/comfort, team, and friendship. Most of all, I hope I did the lovely character of Evan Lorne justice.
So, fellow writers, what story is your favorite of the ones you've written?

I am very partial to Second Verse (http://archiveofourown.org/works/64759) because John and Rodney were *so* messed up in that universe and yet finding each other allowed them to heal. But I'm also quite fond of A Lesson in Evil (http://archiveofourown.org/works/177208) because it was such a departure for me (writing in first person POV, that is) and it was so fun seeing the team through Watson's eyes. :-)
Shoot, I meant to comment on this at your LJ rather than here--oops! :-)

My recipient was an author I look up to, so that did add some pressure, just a wee bit more.
Anyhow... the story turned out a little different than I envisioned it (but that's usually the case with me - my muse is fickle like that).
It's a Kate/Elizabeth story, which is one of
Kissed By Fire (http://archiveofourown.org/works/1565543)
Summary: Kate flies a jumper on a mission around the planet, with Laura as co-pilot, Radek peering over his computerscreen in the back and Elizabeth around for moral support. And in the evening Teyla expects them to be on time for the Remembrance Feast.
