Sateda squee
Jul. 8th, 2014 06:29 pmI'm rewatching all the eps from the beginning and today, Sateda came up on the roster. I love so many things in this episode - Ronon being all self-sacrificing, the scene with the unnamed Major in the infirmary with Rodney - where he calls the team the guy with the messy hair, the pretty girl and the caveman. John going toe-to-toe with Caldwell over rescuing Ronon. John in the leather jacket. John in the tac vest with Ronon's blaster sticking out of it. Carson and Rodney's conversation in the Daedalus infirmary.
But best of all, is this scene with Teyla and John, which gives us everything we came to love about the team as family, John's inability to talk about feelings and Teyla's ability to interpret what he's trying to say, the whole leave no-one behind ethos. Today, this scene made me cry, especially Teyla's "thank you for everything you meant to say" to John at the end.

Joe does a terrific acting job in this scene...I love when John finally breaks through and the right words come blurting out. A lot of people misinterpret John as someone who holds things back, but it's obvious that he *wants* to say things, he just *can't.*
Oh, John Sheppard.
