Top Ten Episodes, or Rodney, Rodney, Rodney!!!!

My ten favorite episodes, huh? Well, did the episode feature one Dr. M. Rodney McKay? Then yes. Yes, that is my favorite episode. ;-D

This was tougher than I thought to narrow the list down to just ten, here they are from 10 to 1.

10: Rising: I'm counting both parts as one episode. But this is the episode where we meet everyone, and then there's that fantastic shot of Atlantis rising. So. Beautiful!

9: Doppelganger: There are no women in Sheppard's nightmare, and Rodney is surprised by this. Wut? LOL Also the boys keep going into each other dreams to save the other. Because it's Tru Wuv, dammit!

8: Tabula Rasa: Seriously, this was a funny, wonderful episode. I never failed to LOL whenever Zelenka scurried away like a little Czech hobbit. Also, Sheppard's note to Lorne. Also Sam and Rodney working together.

7: Common Ground: As much as I almost always loved the Rodney-centric episodes, that's how much I disliked the Sheppard-centric ones. Except for this one. OMG! Sheppard kidnapped by Koyla and fed to a Wraith, who Sheppard then fucking charms into not only helping both of them escape, but it ends up giving Sheppard back his life. In SG-1, my favorite charming baddie was Ba'al. Here? Oh, yeah. Todd wins that award (feeding) hands down!

6: Trio: I loved this episode. The women teasing the hell out of Rodney. Rodney burning the ever loving fuck out of his hands, but never letting go of that rope. The beginnings of what I thought was going to be a beautiful friendship between Rodney & Keller until the writers fucked it up with McKeller. /gag

5: Grace Under Pressure: Poor concussed Rodney. Even Hallucination!Sam won't give him the time of day. LOL And Sheppard won't give up on Rodney and makes Zelenka invent a shield for the puddle jumpers so he can go save his boyfriend. Plus, did I mention Rodney gets all wet and has owies? Yeah, top five masturbation fantasy material right there. ;-)

4: Echoes: John and Rodney go whale watching and get perforated eardrums. And then Sheppard gets all pissy because his boyfriend isn't paying any attention to him. :-D

3) The Shrine: Rodney is going stupid, but not so stupid that he only wants John when he's lost and scared. Ronon keeps bringing up the Shrine even though stupid Keller is all, phtt, take your silly aboriginal totems and go away. I know better than a mere native warrior. And Sheppard stands by his bedside as Rodney's dying and looks like he's going to completely lose it. Also, this is the only episode where I really, really liked Jeannie. The only reason this episode isn't #2 is because of the stupid "I love you" to Keller. /yuck!!!!

2) The Tao of Rodney: Rodney gets even smarter, and then falls into Sheppard's arms. And Sheppard's so scared of his true feelings he can't even say he loves Rodney without qualifying it. But there's not doubt how he feels about Rodney.

AND NOW...

DRUM ROLL...

1) Trinity: Oh, seriously. Like there was going to be another episode for the #1 spot. The episode that has spawned a million fanfics, all of which I love to an unholy degree. I love this episode so much. That last scene tears my heart out every time.

That's why I love this episode. Because Rodney + pain are usually unmixy things, but he held on and held on and held on to that rope despite the fact it was tearing up his hands. Brave, brave Sir Rodney! :-)
