It is utterly amazing to think this is the 7th year for Squee Weekend… let me repeat that, the SEVENTH YEAR of meeting amazing Stargate Atlantis fans (who have become dear friends, nay family), seven years of episode re-watching and thought-provoking discussion (some of which are definitely saucy and not much appreciated by random folk around the outside fire pit); seven years of fun and lasting friendships and feeling as if you've truly come home!

As the SGA fandom activity has waned over the years, it's nice to know that there are still folk out there who love the show and want to get together and talk about it. Not that we don't go off on tangents into other things: writing, reading, crafts, coffee, food, Rodney McKay's ass and why it should be worshipped… well, you get the idea. One thing's certain - we have loads of fun and we hope you'll consider joining us this year!

And I think you're going to like it.

The Love Springs Forth multifandom challenge has begun!

Seeds of romance is about beginnings. That first look across a crowded gate room, or perhaps that first time John sits in the control chair. Maybe it's the discovery of an Ancient device and it's consequences. It's all there in your imagination waiting to spring forth.

This is a multifandom challenge, so hey, it's a perfect time to explore that crossover you always wanted.

There's no minimum word count and you have two weeks for this first round of romance. Come check it out.

It's the month of March and time for Plot Bunny Dust-off Challenge.


Time: Month of March

Place: At melagan's LJ

Rules: This is a Multifandom Challenge. Choose a Work-in-Progress to focus on and be re-inspired. There will be multiple discussion topics throughout the month that I hope will help inspire that pesky muse. If you feel like tackling more than one WiP, go for it.

Works can be of any format. Art, Podfic, or even that long Meta you always wanted to write. This challenge is to get that bunny dusted off and working again.

Result: Anything from a complete piece to adding two sentences to a story. This challenge is about the journey and kindling imagination.

If you do complete a WiP by month's end, we'd love to have you post a link to it.
