(I hesitate to anthropomorphize but I wonder if the city felt distressed when the Genii used her systems to find Sheppard? She obviously couldn't stop them. So, is the city not sentient, or did she just not have enough power, or does she not control those systems -- they seem to be secondary or passive systems. Thoughts, anyone?)

I personally think she felt distressed - but then again my personal head!canon includes a sentient!Atlantis.

Perhaps, she felt the force was strong with that one (Sheppard) and would have stepped in if needed? Perhaps it's the non-interference thing? I kind of go both ways about a sentient Atlantis, but it's really hard to think of anything else with Ladon standing there in his Genii uniform... (yes, I have a thing)

Mine does too. I think she didn't have enough power to stop them but maybe had enough power to give Sheppard a nudge or two.

I think she felt distressed. I'm not sure I'd call her fully sentient, but I like the idea that that city adjusts to the people living on her, and the sudden death of two when the Genii gate in, as well as the manhunt for John...well, she knew she didn't want anything to do with these invaders.

The ability to sense invaders would work well with the Wraith...
