Season 5 Top Ten

There's no way I could choose only ten favorite episodes. So I decided to focus on the eps I enjoyed from season 5, since I figure that season could use some squee every once in a while :)

In no particular order...

Enemy at the Gate
I had waited for so long to see this, and remained pretty spoiler-free, and it was just SO awesome to finally know how it ended.
Todd/Sheppard UST = fantastic.

Vegas
Pretty pretty scenery, clothing, acting... and human!Wraith is sexy. I know, I know, I'm weird.

Search and Rescue
Sheppard whump. I just love his determination.
Baby!! Teyla in labor was really awesome... just a very amazing woman.

The Daedalus Variations
Awesome idea... very neat to see those other realities.

Whispers
I loved seeing the characters we'd not really seen before.

The Queen
Wraith!Teyla was amazing. I loved the interaction between her and Todd.

First Contact
The Lost Tribe
Daniel and Rodney snark? How could anyone resist?

Remnants
More Sheppard whump, and a look inside his mind that is fascinating.

The Shrine
McShep fans rejoice!! Such affection and friendship... and I love how everyone is willing to do whatever they can to help Rodney.

The Queen! Teyla was so awesome. Scary, she'd played the edge very well. Watching Todd learning to respect what she could do was just icing on the cake.

Oh heavens, what delightful fun to watch Hewlett and Shanks try to out fasttalk each other in First Contact.

Rodney delivering Teyla's baby... I don't even have words for that right now. I think I may have overused 'awesome' so I'll stop now. *g*

I think there was a behind-the-scenes thing or something where MS said something to the effect of oh, now I realize what my fellow actors go through when I talk fast.

I loved season 5. I know not everyone did. But Rodney and John in The Shrine? COME ON! That episode gutted me. I was blubbering. It has lead me to have John say in a couple of my fics, "Is there anything that Rodney (read DH) doesn't do well?" And the Snark-Off to end all Snark-Offs! A no holds barred caged match between Rodney and Daniel. *SQUEE*

Vegas was the best AU storyline of all time. And I refuse to believe Shep was dead at the end. Rodney was there to whisk him off to Atlantis and have his way with him. RAWR!

Yay squeee!

One of the reasons I love s5 as much as I do is that it took me a long time before it came on reruns. So I had been a part of the fandom for a bit before getting to see these eps I'd either heard about, or even if not hearing and anticipating, it was like OH HEY, HERE'S NEW SGA EPS FOR MEEE!! :D
