Day 10: Favourite episode

What's that one episode you go back to watch for whatever reason, the one that says, "Atlantis" to you more than any other? Or maybe it's your top five? *winks* It's so hard to choose...

Of all the many episodes I love, the one that answers this question is ...Rising

I agree. Rising. Whenever I see the city break the surface, I'm totally amazed and have this insane urge to snuggle up on the couch and have a marathon viewing.

Echoes.

Hits all my buttons, has fantastic Teyla and Ronon moments, is the episode where Rodney and Sheppard go whale-watch together.

I can watch it over and over again.

So difficult to choose one. If I have to, I would choose the Return two-parter.

Oh, definitely Rising, all the way. It's a combination of the frantic worry, the need to evacuate the city, etc., etc. And, then, there's a miracle - I just can't describe it any other way. To make it even more inspiring (and, hee, "spire"), the music soared as the city rose.

Now that's both a pilot episode and a foundation for the series. I couldn't choose a better one.

Phantoms is probably my overall favorite. Echoes is another fave.

But the episodes that represent the best of show to me are different from the once I rewatch most: Hide and Seek. Doppelganger. Tao of Rodney. The Shrine. :-)

coming late to the party, but I'd have to say, for my all-time favorite? hands-down it was Search and Rescue. John and Ronon saying their goodbyes then getting getting whisked away in the nick of time. Sam saving their booties. Sheppard gutting it out, literally. Ronon being kick-ass with two guns. Teyla saving herself in spite of going through labor pains. Rodney pulling it together and helping her and saving her baby!!!

That moment when John has to ask for help in placing the detonator. :))) And Ronon making it look so easy.

John with the tiny baby in his arms in the dart! My ovaries squished!

OH SO MUCH TEAM GOODNESS! Teyla being home and safe with everyone around her!!! I could watch this episode over and over. Just thinking about it makes me want to go watch it again. :)))

My favorite episode is probably the Shrine. I think a reason I really love it is that it shows John and Rodney talking seriously, in a way that the show (which usually sticks to the plot) ordinarily doesn't. I think it's really touching that Ronon, Teyla, and John would go that far out, into an incredibly dangerous situation, if it'll help Rodney. Every time I see it, I tear up.

I also really love Sateda, the Defiant One, and Hide & Seek. Vegas is another favorite for me.
