SGA Squee :)
Jul. 17th, 2020 11:03 pmHello my darlings, it's been 16 years today since the first airing of Stargate Atlantis. Is anybody out there to remember and celebrate it?
Tell me about your favorite episode, character, scene, plot, season something!
Here is a silly little SGA video to make you remember, why we loved this show so much! :)

Most of all, I love the world that was created that is still being played with today.

Date: 2020-07-18 05:47 am (UTC)The SGA fandom is still here, thank god :D I think my favorite single episode is Echoes. The premise is so ridiculous, but it has a lot of John & Rodney moments, and they're my favoirites. I think my favorite plot is probably First Strike/Adrift/Lifeline, the season 3 finale/season 4 opener. Atlantis is lost in space and losing power! Sam's there! It was just very intense, very interesting. Though I also really like The Siege...

Date: 2020-07-18 04:27 pm (UTC)Episode: "Grace Under Pressure".
Character: Rodney.
Secene: John, Rodney, Elizabeth and Somner looking out of the window in "Rising".
Plot? I think they did well when they went for wacky ("Home", "Doppelganger") or unfolded the story non-chronologically ("Thirty-Eight Minutes", "The Shrine").
Season? There are ups and downs, but each season has some really good stuff.

Date: 2020-07-18 08:25 pm (UTC)Rodney is a great character and David Hewlett is a brilliant actor. I love all the episodes focusing to Rodney, especially The Shrine and The Tao of Rodney. I also love the non-chronological episodes, e.g. second part of The Return - this is one of my favorites.

Date: 2020-07-19 08:35 am (UTC)It was fun to watch! And re-watch)))
I kinda agree, but there is Trio and there is Brain Storm. Not my favorites to say the least.
But I do love most of Rodney-centric episodes from Thirty-Eight Minutes to The Shrine.
(UPD. Well, strictly speaking, Thirty-Eight Minutes is Team-centric, but it does Rodney justice, so it feels like Rodney-centric.)
Those are good! It's nice re-watch them from time to time. I need sort of special mood for The Shrine, but The Tao of Rodney always cheers me up. I wonder why. In both of them Rodney suffers, nearly dies and is rescued at the last moment, in both of them there are great moments of bonding, etc, but the mood is different.
I see what you mean. They make good use of flashbacks, and there is some great action. :)
Though I personally prefer Part 1. It has some of my favorite scenes. XD
