I've not finished my ten favorite episodes list yet, but I still wanted to post and say how much I love Team Sheppard.

Teyla, Ronon, Rodney and John, probably more the fanon than the canon mind you, have become almost like friends, and nowadays I find myself calling up on them in my mind when I need help with something.

Walking a 1h walk which ended up being 4h long : Rodney wouldn't give up, John would give him a powerbar, Ronon would tease him and tell him how to breath better, Teyla would put a hand on his shoulder, and he would go on, not for him but for them. If he can do it, so can I. (and I did by the way :p).

Being ready to scream in annoyance : Teyla would take a deep breath and when she looks at Ronon he would smile that half smile of his and that would be the end of her annoyance, the simple fact that she can laugh with him.

Those are just two small examples, but I've found that a few times a day they just come to me like that, and it helps. And that's very much squee worthy to me ^_^.

I know what you mean!! Just the other day, I was attempting to run/jog a mile for the very first time. I didn't want to be stupid about it, so I picked a turtle's pace that I thought I could sustain. I also didn't want to give up, though, and I thought that would be easy for me to do.

After about 1/4 mile, I began picturing Rodney on a run with John and Ronon. Then it became Rodney running on an enforced march through treacherous terrain in an effort to stay one step ahead of the bad guys. THEN it became Rodney in a contest to win a ZPM--all he had to do was finish the mileage *without* breaking to a walk.

Everyone else on the team offered to run in his place, but the Aliens in Charge insisted on Rodney. So the entire Team ran with him, encouraging him all the way. Yes, that may factor into a story some day (in fact, almost everything does) but the 'Oh, Team' feeling I got from that little imagining got me through the drill (and the praise of the triathlon coach).

I remember reading a fandom secret once where the poster admitted that whenever she was working out she visualized Ronon working out with her as incentive. I could not figure out why that should be a secret...and it is something I've started doing too! :)

In my other fandoms I'm not into gen fic at all, but in SGA, if it is TEAM fic, then I'll read it. There are some awesome stories out there!

Reading gen fic about the Team is one of my all time favorite things to do in fandom.

And Ronon as a work out instructor ? I would so go for that too ! ^_^

You are so not alone in doing this! Rodney seems to be my go-to guy. I imagine him as my supervisor, checking my work to make sure it's perfect...better believe I give it that extra going-over to make sure it is! *g*

And Teyla? I try to channel her when I'm with my grandson - all wise and warm and loving, but stern when necessary and kickass, too.
