I am rather new to the fandom, but I would say my biggest squees are the hilarity that is Joe and David on twitter, and the epic fic. So looking forward to the Atlantis big bang fic, and also writing my very first Big Bang story for SGA story ever for Syfy Big Bang. This fandom is just so lovely!

Also, if someone doesn't mind filling a newbie in, what exactly is Hewligan fic? I know it has to do with some of their other roles, but what roles do people tend to use? I really haven't seen the boys in much else besides Stargate Atlantis.

Can't wait for AtlantisBigBang...I missed the deadline so I didn't write anything...can't wait to read the stories!!

Also, if you like "land" comms and you love Stargateland...

Stargateland will be entering Phase II next week (I think)...sign-up if you like to have fun...you can write or do graphics (don't need to be an expert at either). Lots of fun challenges, great people to play with. Team Atlantis might be difficult to join on this round (by the way...I believe we are going to win Phase 1, we are pretty far ahead...Go Team Atlantis!) but all of it's fun. Check it out or let me know if you are interested and I'll let the mods know to contact you.

Hewligans pair any character played by Joe Flanigan with any character played by David Hewlett. One of the more popular pairings is Brendan Dean from Thoughcrimes with Dr. Steven Emmett of Boa vs Python.

You might want to check out this year's smallfandom_bb. There were some very good Hewligans entries there. psychic_snakes has some terrific stories as well. Crossroads has a list of links for other pairings; I don't have a link handy for it but you can google SGA Crossroads and it'll come up.

Stargateland will keep you hopping,even if you only do a few of the things...I was fortunate that since I travel so much...I get bored in hotels and airports...so I play.

It is a really well run 'land' comm and I have had so much fun...learning a lot about graphics by playing with these guys. If you didn't see some of the movie posters that were done...oh my...are there some talented folk on this board. SGA has kicked some serious butt over there...Atlantis rocks!!

Definitely....come join...even if you are on the SG-1 or SGU teams, you can still write or do graphics for the others unless it's team theme week and your sigs would have to be for that team. Check out the com and see what cool things were done...there's even a LittleBang of stories that could tide you over until AtlantisBigBang debuts!

I squee because this fandom in general is so loyal and dedicated. Look at the outpouring of support in response to Joe's "Love Letter." So much so that the Geary family has already communicated their gratitude for the scope of fans' response. Wow!
