This show gave us so many iconic moments, large and small. We will never forget John zippered shirt, Radek's pigeons, Teyla's soup, Ronon's gun (that's not a euphemism rubygirl29), Rodney's orange fleece, or Woolsey's cigars.
I'd have more to say but I'm mesmerized by the gif of the city rising.
The moment that's always stuck with me - beyond the city rising - is that scene from "The Siege," where John's holding his gun on the Wraith and everyone else is like "wtf, calm down" in the background. That scene encompassed so much of what John's willing to do for his people that it is still one of my favorites.
Oh yes! John has given us some wonderful moments. I have truly enjoyed Joe Flanigan's interpretation of John Sheppard. Not to mention the grrrr factor never hurts *g*
OH,THIS! Atlantis rising from the ocean, gives me shivers always.
This makes me remember that scene from the First Stike, when the City rises from the ocean and flies away. And John Sheppard is flying this wonderful spaceship.
The rising of the city in The Rising is by far the only moment I'd consider iconic. It's spectacular CG which has no rival in the remainder of the series. The tidal wave in The Storm does come close, but as far as iconic goes that was it.
I'd say the others are memorable for their own reasons.
Radek's pigeons were funny, as was John's "I shot him." - cue Elizabeth's shocked look - "In the leg."
Teyla kicking Ronon's butt in Echoes, for falling asleep during meditation (I wonder how many others she was forced to punish for the same crime) -- pretty epic.
Michael's end -- the woman he loves in some twisted way, is the one to end him. Game over fella!

Darn, I think - in honour of our 10 year celebration - I'm going to have to do a rewatch of the entire series.
