He always looks kind of gob smacked when he's in the chair.

I've always thought that John had more of a connection to the city than we were shown on the show. I really love fic where you get to see that the city has more personality and loves John best :-) I also love those stories where the city realizes that Rodney's really the one with the know-how and loves Rodney, too.

I didn't think they ever did much with it on the show, but there was once when the doors closed on Woolsey. It made me laugh so much.

I do think things like this are better left to the fan fic writers.

It took me a while to warm up to Woolsey. I think it took him a while to warm up to the city and I enjoyed watching his journey to the place where he loved Atlantis, too.

He grew a lot as a character on Stargate. Atlantis gave him the opportunity to grow even more. *smishes show*
