Let's talk icons!
Jun. 9th, 2013 08:12 amIt will surprise no one that with the opening of the McShep Match icon challenge I'm bringing icons up as a topic.
I'll admit, right off the bat, I have no icon making skills and I'm in serious envy of those that do.
I'm using the above icon as an example. It's a simple 100 x 100 pixel crop. That's the best I can do. Fortunately the subject matter speaks for itself.
Icons! Tell us what you love about them, what challenges you, what inspires you. Toss us a few examples and we'll love you forever.

Date: 2013-06-09 04:53 pm (UTC)I meant to say in the previous comment, that part of the attraction of icons for me is the base picture, but also, the ones I use the most are the ones that express some sort of sentiment that fits the comment I'm writing too--so I love the perfect storm of a great picture with the ideal text.
I don't have photoshop and I don't have the skills. I've made a few icons, but they pale compared to my favorites. :-)
